This is a job for Superwoman by DrMuttonchops This is a job for Superwoman by DrMuttonchops
Here's another commisioned pic from the very talented :iconartgk:. This one's a pic from my latest Superwoman story "Dawn of a Heroine" Chapter 3 [link] based on the Fleischer Superman cartoons, that features reporter Clara Kent ducking into a stockroom in the Daily Planet building, and emerging in her Superwoman costume, ready to right another wrong!

So if this universe also contains Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Power Girl, Superwoman is in good company! Hmm...how would she look with the familiar spit-curl..?

No, this is the Golden Age. Supergirl and Powergirl won't appear. Wonder Woman will though. A few people have already drawn Superwoman with the spit curl, but I wanted the artist to have her hair like Lois in the cartoons.

Ah, I see. Makes sense. I like the pretty vintage hairstyle. It should be interesting to see the contrast between Wonder Woman's cynicism of the male-dominated world and Superwoman's faith in the goodness of man.

Nothing happening in Gotham just yet, I suppose... ;)

Well, I'll see about that.

Actually, I've written the first two chapters of a Batwoman origin story, but they weren't received very well, so I gave up on it.

To be honest, I don't remember at all where the original Batwoman in the early comics came from. If you were speaking of the female alternative to Batman, I would imagine her origin story would in general follow Bruce Wayne's.

Don't give up on your origin story if it's something in which you believe or have enthusiasm. Put it away and return someday when inspiration strikes. It may take a while, but perhaps it will be worth it. :)

Its kind of like Year One set in the Golden Age.

I already have inspiration. I'm just not going to waste effort on something that's not widely read or cared about.

I understand that. This is a good place to display artwork, but I don't think poems, stories and such get the same welcome. Surely there is somewhere to offer up fan fiction and other works of imaginative literature, but I don't right off know where that would be. :(

There's Fanfiction.net for one, but its getting the same reaction there. My Golden Age Superwoman stories are getting some good attention, though.

While the Fleishers would undoubtedly have put Superwoman in some kind or skirt, the feel and on-model render here is delicious.
Well done.

Right idea, but she wouldn't have time to put on her pants and boots. She, might have red skirt on all ready and she, might be carrying red heels in her pruse.
I, dare you to draw her in a red skirt and red heels, if you got the guts.

First off, her pants and boots are already on underneath her civilian clothes. If Superman can do it, so can she.

Second, I did not draw this, I only commissioned it.
